Chenail Import-Export welcomed representatives from the U.S. General Consulate in Montreal to discuss the future of the fruit and vegetable industry and the importance of Canada-U.S. partnerships.

Earlier this month, Chenail Import-Export had the pleasure of welcoming Robert P. Sanders, Consul General of the United States in Montréal, as well as Aurela Delibashi from the Office of Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Consulate General in Montréal. Alison Caron, nutritionist for the “J’aime les fruits et légumes” program for the QPMA, was also part of the visit, helping facilitate discussions and represent Québec’s industry. We sincerely thank them for visiting Chenail Import-Export and for sharing their time and insights with our team!

Their visit was a great reminder that beyond trade and logistics, strong Canada-U.S. collaboration is built first and foremost on relationships, shared values, and a willingness to work together. At Chenail Import-Export, we are proud to collaborate with partners and organizations that share this vision and help advance our industry.

Consul General Sanders is not only a strong advocate for cross-border partnerships, but also a remarkable person whose energy and enthusiasm are truly inspiring. Exchanges like these motivate us to continue strengthening our connections with partners across the United States and to keep building opportunities for our industry.

We also had the pleasure of spending time with Aurela Delibashi from the Office of Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Consulate General in Montréal, whose contagious energy and dedication make her an incredible asset to both countries. Through her work with the USDA Office of Agricultural Affairs, she actively fosters collaboration and supports initiatives that benefit the produce sector on both sides of the border.

Being part of an industry that brings people together and ensures year-round access to high-quality fruits and vegetables across North America is a great source of pride. Under the leadership of our President, Antonio Bono, Chenail Import-Export continues its commitment to strengthening cross-border relationships, supporting meaningful initiatives, and actively contributing to the growth of our industry.

We look forward to continuing these exchanges and exploring new ways to contribute to this strong and growing partnership.
